Neo first started writing music in late 2015, after living on the streets on and off for 22 years he was donated a guitar by a friend who had heard him singing karaoke, with the intention of learning some songs to busk and earn some money on the streets, however this never happened. Instead he decided to not perform covers and has been writing his own songs ever since he picked up a guitar. His heartfelt lyrics and distinctive musical style quickly made him a local celebrity in Oxford and it was at this point Neo decided that he wanted to use his love for music to help the homeless community he was a part of.

Neo then teamed up with the "Oxford homeless project" with a very clear goal, that goal was to raise enough money to provide crisis housing and basic facilities for homeless people in Oxford, so while they are going through the "transitional period" (waiting to be housed by the council) they can have a place to stay, free from harassment from the very parts of society that are supposed to be looking out for them, not making life EVEN more difficult. This however is not proving an easy task, as Neo and his fellow members of the homeless community are constantly in and out of court facing eviction notices for simply not having anywhere to go. Neo has since featured on BBC radio oxford with Kat Orman, has appeared on BBC south today, The Oxford mail newspaper and many many more places desperately trying to spread the message but more importantly raise the money that is needed to tackle such a huge problem not only in Oxford but across the whole Country.
